On Monday, May 18, 2026, at 9:00 AM, the Master’s thesis defense of postgraduate student (Sana Tharwat Abdullah) was held at the College of Dentistry. The thesis was titled:
"Evaluation Of The Efficacy Of Coconut Oil Pulling In The Treatment Of Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy Induced Oral Mucositis In Head And Neck Cancer Patients."
The study was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Shaheen Ali Ahmed from Hawler Medical University at our college.
The examination committee consisted of:
1. Prof. Dr. Kawa Fariq Dizaye – Chairman
2. Assist. Prof. Dr. Suhayla Hamad Sharif(Salahaddin University) – Member
3. Assist. Prof. Dr. Hassan Ali Mahmoud (Hawler Medical University) – Member
Following a comprehensive discussion and evaluation, the student successfully responded to the committee's questions and addressed their observations. Consequently, the thesis was approved.
