The College of Nursing at Hawler Medical University is pleased to announce the successful completion of a specialized academic workshop entitled:
“Endotracheal Intubation: Principles, Practice, and Patient Safety.”
This workshop was delivered as part of the Adult Consolidation Module during the second semester of the academic year 2025–2026, and was directed toward fourth-year nursing students.
The activity aimed to strengthen students’ theoretical understanding and clinical competence in airway management, with a particular focus on safe and effective endotracheal intubation. Participants engaged in structured learning sessions covering airway anatomy, indications and contraindications for intubation, equipment preparation, step-by-step procedural techniques, and patient safety standards.
In addition, the workshop included supervised hands-on practice using airway manikins, allowing students to apply essential intubation skills, confirm correct tube placement, and manage potential complications within a controlled educational environment.
The College of Nursing remains committed to advancing high-quality clinical training opportunities that enhance professional readiness and promote excellence in patient care.
