Five minutes of silence were held at Hawler Medical University on Wednesday, 16 March 2022, in memory of the 5000 civilian victims of the chemical attack on Halabja
on 16 March 1988. The university president together with the university vice presidents and all the staff of the university and president and the colleges gathers on the main street to observe this commemoration.
