On 6 December 2021, the special committee established by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research carried out interviews to select deans for the
different colleges. The committee was headed by the Deputy Minister Prof. Dr. Abdulfattah Abdulrazzaq and included the President of Hawler Medical University Prof. Dr. Nooraddin Ismail, President of KBMS Prof. Dr. Ariana Khalis, the Minister's Advisor Dr. Amanj Saeed, the ministry's Director General of Admin Dr. Twana Najaf, and the Director of Posts Mr. Amanj Rafiq. Interviews were conducted with 28 candidates to select new deans for the colleges of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing and the medical research center.
