Saturday Students Activity
Today, Saturday (January 31), the College of Pharmacy at Hawler Medical University held a seminar inspired by Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
The session was delivered by two student groups, who presented the final part of Habit 2 and all of Habit 3 using a creative and interactive approach rather than a traditional lecture. This method helped transfer the ideas from the book in a clear and practical way, making the session engaging and easy to follow. They shared real-life experiences to explain important ideas, including being proactive, setting goals, managing time well, practicing self-discipline, moving forward instead of staying in the past, and the value of teamwork and collaboration
Before the presentation, a separate interactive activity introduced the idea of “keys in our lives,” encouraging reflection on habits that support or limit personal growth.
The activity concluded with a Kahoot quiz (18 questions), the top eight students who achieved the highest scores were awarded books donated by their peers, promoting a culture of learning, support, and knowledge sharing.
