As a higher and scientific committee members supervising the 5th International Scientific Conference of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Ministry of Health under the title 'Scientific Documentation of Anfal Crimes and Mass Graves, Towards International Recognition Genocide of the Kurdish People'. This conference will be held under the direct supervision of Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Mr. Masrour Barzani, on 28-29 October 2025 in Duhok, Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Convention Center, University of Duhok Malta Campus.

Eventual major themes

The conference will particularly focus on the following main themes:

Scientific Documentation of Anfal Crimes and Mass Graves, Towards International Recognition Genocide of the Kurdish People
Forensic anthropology.
Recognition of genocide cases of Yazidis.
Mass graves
Role of DNA and molecular identification of victims.
Legal issues in genocide.
Effect of chemical weapon on the Kurdish people.
Documentation of genocide
Psychosocial consequences of genocide and post-traumatic stress syndrome.

We welcome keynote, research, and poster presentations. Participation with research in any of the three languages of Kurdish, Arabic and English is acceptable.
