The CTR Biosciences Fellowship Program (CBFP) will award up to 12 fellowships to candidates from Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon.
The fellowship is sponsored by the Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Selected fellows will conduct a science fellowship requiring travel for four to six months to a host institution in a country different than their home country. The goal of the program is to promote biological safety and security (BS&S) technical capacity for biological scientists in the Middle East and South Asia (MESA) region.
The program is seeking biological scientists working in government ministries, government-operated biological science laboratories, and/or research and diagnostic facilities with a research focus on public health, animal health, and/or infectious diseases. We will consider candidates from universities and private laboratories on a case-by-case basis.
