Through student-centered learning, modern pedagogical approaches, and interdisciplinary collaboration, we prepare graduates with strong scientific knowledge, technical expertise, and professional competencies to contribute to patient care, biomedical research, and healthcare innovation in Kurdistan and beyond.

Program Learning Outcomes

Graduates of the Biochemistry program will be able to:

  • Explain the biochemical basis of diseases and interpret key clinical biomarkers
  • Apply laboratory techniques such as spectrophotometry, immunoassays, and electrophoresis
  • Collect, process, and manage biological samples using biosafety and infection control standards
  • Perform clinical laboratory assays using standard equipment and SOPs
  • Apply quality control systems and interpret laboratory results accurately
  • Identify analytical errors and evaluate results in a clinical context
  • Demonstrate professionalism, ethical responsibility, and compliance with laboratory regulations
