Under the patronage of the University President, Assist. Prof. Dr. Dara O. Meran, Hawler Medical University
conducted the 4th International Conference of Medical Sciences on 7-8 November 2018. The conference was held under the theme of 'Towards scientific identification of mass graves and genocide in Kurdistan Region.' The opening ceremony of the conference was attended by a number of governmental and political officials in addition to representatives of a number of consulates and organization and many faculty members and students. The conference included two panels. The first panel was enriched by the participation of Mr. Fadhil Mirani, the secretary of the KDP political bureau. The conference also included another panel on the molecular identification of victims of Genocide in addition to 5 scientific sessions with 3 keynote lectures and 20 research presentations by researchers from Kurdistan region and abroad.
