Hawler Medical University
in collaboration with the Social Peace Movement (BAN) carried out a project about addiction and drug abuse rehabilitation in the male and female rehabilitation centers in Erbil. Mr. Sangar Muhammad Ahmed, Assistant Lecturer of Community Health at the College of Health Sciences led the project from Hawler Medical University side. The project started on 1 July 2019 and includes weekly seminars about treating the effects of withdrawal from addiction and drug abuse. Around 80 male and 22 female detainees at the rehabilitation centers benefited from the project.
